I consider myself a born again artist, having picked up the brush and pen after a seven year hiatus. In 2023, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and was successfully treated at Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha. But during the journey of ridding myself of it, I was determined to make it a positive experience. I went back to art, a childhood love that I never did justice to, and I tried new things, new mediums, new styles. The more I struggled with the treatment, the more I worked on my art. In many ways my art renaissance became the source of my strength, and defined my world view going forward.

The "Bio-data"

I was born in the South Indian city of Bangalore, a lush, beautiful city with poetry in its soul. My undergraduate degree was in mass media from Mount Carmel College in Bangalore. While in my first job, I decided to do a masters in Linguistics on the side (just for the sheer pleasure). After a few years of working in the burgeoning IT industry, I joined Nanyang Technological University in Singapore for another masters, this time Information Science. The decade after that was a whirlwind working across South & South East Asia with startups to build new products and take them to market. I returned home for a short entrepreneurial stint in green gifting space. I  moved to Qatar in 2015 to join my husband and found myself in an entirely unfamiliar world. My journey eventually led to me starting Inaara in 2020, a brand centered around bringing Indian artisanal products to the middle east. And in 2023, I started creating art professionally, and now here we are.
